What helps children with ADHD?

Hyperactivity, impulsivity and difficulty concentrating are the hallmarks of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)

The one in 20 children that suffer ADHD find that the disorder significantly disrupts their learning, relationships and general wellbeing.

It is also known that many with the disorder also suffer associated problems, such as sleep issues and anxiety, which add to their struggles.

But simple psychological strategies can show parents, teachers and carers how to support children and teens with ADHD to ensure they thrive. Dr Emma Sciberras MAPS explains.
