Professor Ron Rapee is the former director of the Centre for Emotional Health and Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Macquarie University. Professor Rapee specialises in mental health, especially anxiety and related disorders across the lifespan. His public contributions include membership of several grants committees for the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), honorary advisor to the Chinese Association of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and the British Psychological Society Division of Clinical Psychology, and chair of the Australian Rotary Health Grants Committee. He is an Australian Research Council Laureate Fellow and was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia in 2012 for his contributions to clinical psychology, especially among young people.
