Dr Rachel Morrison is a researcher and teacher in organisational psychology in the business school at Auckland's AUT. She previously taught within psychology departments at Auckland University, Massey University and AUT University. Her research interests include research interests friendships and gender and equity issues in the workplace. Rachel’s research interests include gender and equity issues in the workplace, relationships in the workplace and friendship formation.
Open-plan offices and hot-desking are taking a toll on workplace relationships. Modern offices are making workers less friendly rather than more, as they struggle with noise, distractions and a lack of belonging.
